Yeah, yeah. Everyone’s surprised. Unlike Gon-chan, this kid doesn’t have much intimidation, so.

The sun has fully slanted, and it’s very dim in the forest. I think I’ve told Mireille about most of the magic beasts. Mireille looks worn out, but it can’t be helped.

That’s true.
Now then. I feel bad for Mireille, but the next part is the real thing. Rather, what I want to tell her starts here.

“There are lots of dangerous plants too…”
“Mireille. We’re going next, but I am seriously warning you.”
“W-what is it?”
“Absolutely do not make an enemy of the magic beast we’re about to meet. I cannot help you.”

When I say that, Mireille swallows.
Among human mages I have the Great Spirit’s stamp of approval that I am among the strongest. Looking at humans as a whole, as long as magic isn’t sealed I won’t lose, she says. There are also opponents I apparently can’t win against either.
But that’s among humans. When you include magic beasts, it changes a little.

Mireille’s face goes pale. I might have threatened too much, but I didn’t lie. If those magic beasts rampage, the Great Spirit herself moves to suppress them.
