A shinai mowed the place Alice had been a moment ago.

Alice could see Tachibana Mizuki cutting her own shadow in two.

She evaded by a hair.
If she hadn’t experienced life-or-death real combat in Fate Link: Legendia, she probably couldn’t even have reacted.

“Fast.”

Tachibana Mizuki murmured and vanished again.

When Alice dodged left on fear, a shinai pierced Alice’s shadow.
But Tachibana Mizuki’s thrust didn’t end there.

The shinai suddenly changed trajectory and came at Alice. Alice tried to evade by a hair, but she stepped on her hakama hem and fell hard. Falling, though, she somehow evaded the shinai.

Alice evaded Tachibana’s vertical swing while rolling further.
Tachibana Mizuki doesn’t pursue.
In kendo you may attack someone who has fallen on their back only once.

Alice is afraid of heights,——so the Shonan Monorail is Alice’s natural enemy.

There are two reasons Alice is challenging this natural enemy even while gripping the seat rail with a bad color.

One is that she wants to overcome her fear of heights triggering when she moves on the ground in a Versus Frame.

The other is,

To meet the socially anxious person she respects, who appeared fidgeting as usual——Suzusaki Suzuhi, Suu.

The air over the Spirit Forest is the territory of flying magic beasts like wyverns, but today I ignore that. I just beat back the ones that come at us.
In less than thirty minutes, we reached the World Tree.
We land by the World Tree, and then I notice I brought Mireille along on the momentum.

Mireille was limp. By any look she’s fainted. I didn’t have room to hold back… I might have done a bad thing.
For now I lay her down there. Magic beasts don’t come near the World Tree, so she can wait here for now.
