The morning after Lady Ulrika’s first day of school.
The conference room of Romulus Castle was wrapped in a grave air.

Gathered were King Zenon, Queen Victoria, and Minister Rudolf.
And five of the lower class: Charlotte, Natasha, Beppo, Charles, and Henry.

“We now convene an emergency meeting on measures against national destruction!”

King Zenon’s large voice rang through the quiet conference room.
In response to the collapse of the lower-class classroom and the cancellation of classes, they were holding an emergency strategy meeting.

Incidentally, the reason Queen Victoria was participating was simply to add to the bustle.
She had heard rumor of the emergency meeting and slipped in from who-knows-where.

“Now then. Before the main issue, a confirmation. Charlotte. How is Ulrika today?”

“She’s at the student dormitory. Since yesterday she’s shut herself in our shared room.”

“My… Ulrika-chan is always so lively, and she’s shut herself in.”

“She’s quite down after yesterday. Olivia is comforting her now…”

“Hmm… I see…”

In the dark air, one student raised a hand.

“Um~…”

The one who raised his hand was one of the boys’ trio.
The former member of Charlotte’s entourage, Beppo.

“Why were we suddenly called to the royal castle? And why are we having a meeting with His Majesty and Her Majesty?”

“Ah, I’d like to know that as well. We were called to the castle first thing this morning and put straight into the meeting, so I haven’t grasped the situation…”

At Beppo’s and Henry’s questions, King Zenon whispered in Rudolf’s ear.

“Hey, Rudolf. You didn’t explain the circumstances?”

“I was told to gather the students in a hurry, you see. I skipped the explanation.”

“I… I see… that’s right…”

Finished whispering, King Zenon answered Beppo and Henry.

“This meeting’s purpose is to get Ulrika attending school. For that, I wanted to hear opinions from you, her classmates, as well, so I called you.”

Hearing King Zenon’s answer, this time Charles raised a hand.

“A question! What does measures against national destruction mean! How does it relate to getting Miss Ulrika attending school!”

“I see. You don’t know Ulrika’s circumstances either…”

King Zenon cleared his throat.

“In fact, Ulrika is the Demon King.”

“””……Ha?”””

At King Zenon’s answer, the boys’ trio tilted their heads together.

“Ulrika’s true identity is the Demon King, come from the Demon Realm to the human world.”

“””Haa…”””

“Ulrika’s wish is to attend school. She has an extremely strong feeling toward school, at any rate. At present, however, she cannot attend. That is a very bad state of affairs.”

In a serious tone, King Zenon went on.

“With Demon King Ulrika’s power, a nation would be destroyed in an instant. A situation that would sour Ulrika’s mood has arisen. In other words, the Kingdom of Romulus is currently on the brink of national destruction. Hence we are holding this meeting on measures against it. Understood?”

“””Y… yes…”””

The boys’ trio nodded with indescribable expressions.
They did not look as if they fully believed King Zenon.
King Zenon, however, pushed the meeting on regardless.

“Then the main issue. I want Ulrika attending school, but royal authority does not work on the academy. We must think of some solution… does anyone have a good one?”

“I… can’t think of one…”

“It pains me to sadden that innocent girl any further, but… I can’t think of one either!”

“If even His Majesty’s authority won’t work… it’s difficult…”

King Zenon, Rudolf, and the five of the lower class all groaned, holding their heads.
In the midst of that, Queen Victoria raised a chilly voice.

“Dear… you mustn’t leave all the thinking to other people. You’re the king. Think properly yourself.”

“Ukh… that’s right…”

Under pressure from Queen Victoria, King Zenon thought desperately.

“Hmm… Charlotte. Tell me again, in detail, what that student council president Heinrich said. As detailed and accurate as you can.”

“Um… that is…”

At King Zenon’s question, Charlotte faltered.

“It’s embarrassing to say, but I was quite worked up at the time… I don’t remember very well.”

“I see. I thought if we could know the contents of the academy’s notice in detail, it would lead to a solution…”

King Zenon closed his eyes and thought again.
Then Henry, who had been listening, quietly raised a hand.

“If it’s what the student council president said, I remember it accurately.”

“Hoh? You’re Henry, as I recall. Will you tell us in detail?”

“Then: ‘From today, this is your classroom.’ ‘I have no obligation to explain to the likes of the lower class.’ ‘The classroom is right here. This should be enough for the lower class.’ ‘All lower-class classes have been cancelled. There will be no classes from the academy at all. You may spend your time here as you like.’—”

As if reading it off, Henry recited Heinrich’s words.

“—’This year no teacher will be assigned to the lower class. If you want a teacher, find one yourselves.’ ‘If you don’t like it, you can just quit.’ ‘Restrain yourself. I am the student council president.’—”

“Wait, wait! That’s enough.”

King Zenon raised a hand and cut him off.
Everyone in the conference room was surprised by Henry’s memory.

“That’s amazing. To remember it that clearly.”

“It’s nothing much. Just a knack.”

“No, it’s a very amazing knack! I was startled.”

Charlotte and Natasha offered Henry words of praise.
A slightly looser air flowed through the conference room, which had been dark.

Then Queen Victoria clapped her hands and stood.

“That’s it!”

“Hn? What is it, Victoria?”

“Listening to Henry, I had a flash.”

Queen Victoria looked full of confidence—or rather, oddly as if she were having fun.
Rudolf showed a suspicious air at that manner.

“Lady Victoria… what did you flash on…?”

“Fufu. A way for everyone in the lower class to receive classes!”

Queen Victoria turned her gaze to King Zenon.

“Dear, leave this to me.”

Then she shifted her gaze to the five of the lower class.

“I’ll roll up my sleeves for all of you.”

And so Queen Victoria put on a beautiful smile.
